IREMs membership is made up of more than 9000 individuals who
have achieved the Certified Property Manager designation. The CPM®
designation is the most widely recognized real estate management designation
among institutional, private and government real estate investors.
The designation is attained by individuals who successfully complete
intensive course study, have met rigid experience requirements and
adhere to a strict Code of Professional Ethics. |

Accredited
Resident Manager ARM®
Distinguished managers of residential properties are identified through
IREMs Accredited Residential Manager ARM recognition program.
Attainment of the ARM® award is based on achieving high standards
in the area of education, experience and commitment to the ARM®
Code of Ethics. To achieve the ARM® award, applicants are required
to successfully complete an in-depth course on residential site management.
The course focuses on proven multi-housing management skills and techniques
and provides detailed coverage of such subjects as marketing techniques,
analyzing vacancy factors, equal opportunity compliance, budgeting
and the selection and management of service contractors.

Accredited
Management Organization AMO®
Accredited Management Organization is the only designation awarded
to firms by IREM. More than 660 firms in the united States currently
hold the designation. AMO® firms are responsible for managing
1.5 million residential units valued at 42 billion and 498 million
square feet of commercial property with an estimated value of 34 billion.
AMO® firms, recognize that management expertise plays a critical
role in enhancing the future value of property. Thus, they must have
a CPM® who directs and supervises the firms real estate
management activity. Further, this CPM® must have completed IREMs
course aimed at developing expertise in running a management company
or department. IREM has established a tradition of well-defined financial
criteria for attaining AMO® status. Each AMO® firm must undergo
an independent financial review and for added client protection must
maintain a fidelity bond and depositors forgery and alterations
insurance. AMO® firm headquarters are reviewed by local chapter
prior to recommendation to IREM National for consideration.
